PHILOSOPHY

3D-LAYER LTD is led by Donat Purgal, a senior architectural designer and interior architecture consultant with more than 20 years’ experience in high-end residential design. His background includes work with London luxury residential studios where interior architecture, bespoke joinery, spatial coordination and design-development precision are central to the project outcome.

Interior design projects frequently reach a point where aesthetic decisions must be translated into architectural reality.

This stage often reveals unresolved issues involving:

• spatial proportions
• building constraints and coordination issues
• bespoke joinery and fabrication interfaces
• material junctions.

3D-LAYER LTD provides a structured design-development process to clarify these issues before they affect coordination, procurement or site progress.

WORKING METHOD

Projects typically follow three stages.

1 — Diagnose

Initial review of drawings, room layouts and design intent to identify spatial conflicts, unresolved decisions and coordination risks.

2 — Develop

3D modelling, option testing and design-development studies to clarify proportion, hierarchy, junctions and project-team decision routes.

3 — Resolve

Preparation of clear diagrams, annotated drawings and design-intent documentation for coordination with the wider project team.

COLLABORATION MODEL

3D-LAYER LTD operates as a flexible external consultancy.

Engagement formats may include:

• project-based consultancy
• temporary support during intensive design phases
• collaboration with studio teams during design reviews

Most production work is undertaken remotely, with studio visits arranged when required.

We structure our services to match the specific rhythm of your project.

We offer Flexible Day-Rate Support for studios requiring agile integration into their design teams during critical deadlines or pitch phases.

For clearly defined scopes, such as spatial reviews, design-intent drawing packages or joinery development studies, we provide fixed-fee project proposals.

This allows the level of involvement to scale with the project stage, deadline and complexity of the brief.
